Gabrielle ordered Mohammed
to read
in the name of his Lord
in a cave, full of dark
and silence, on top
of Mt. Hiira

Mohammed could not read
at first
he did not answer

Khaadjida, he said after,
I was scared
it seemed like a dream

you and I were made
from the same clot of blood
the brightest light

if you are weak, human
it is because your dreams
blossom
like cancerous tumours

if I am weak
it is because I believe
what I hear
lying in the dark
and silence
blind
deaf
beside your still body
as you whisper me your dreams
