Different Variations Of The Same Note

Different Variations Of The Same Note

As I sit here inside my mind is fuzzy and fractured
I think of Charles Bukowski, and how he too sat at night
With a bottle of wine and napkins
And wrote away his life before wiping his mouth
Many people think he was a genius
But really
He was just a man who wrote things down
I suppose that takes courage
To face things as they really are
But sometimes I wonder
As he did too
Whether it’s easier to live
Inside ignorance
Whether it’s easier to read this poem
